Let’s speak some about Mallorca! The name of the island comes from an old Latin phrase “ínsula maior” which means larger island, as Mallorca is the largest of Balearic Islands. The island has a long list of attracting features, but the most noteworthy is the weather. The average temperature on the island is 21°C with 300 days of sunshine a year. Sounds great, doesn’t it? To make it even better, Mallorca offers a great mix of magic mountains, unspoilt nature, Mediterranean villages, 24 golf courses and beautiful beaches. That makes the island a paradise for hikers, cyclists, golfers and water sports enthusiasts.
The Llevant is a landscape zone on the eastern side of Mallorca. It includes the municipal areas of Artà, Capdepera, Manacor, Son Servera and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. Hills and mountains, fertile fields, cliffs with indented bays and sandy beaches, make the landscape area a kind of Mallorca concentrate with the lowest population density on the island. Nowhere else on the island are all the elements combined in such a small area.
